Supplies:
Old decorative header
Odd number of decorative dresser knobs or decorative hooks
Picture hangers

Tools:
Tape measure/ruler
Pencil
Drill

Note: Knobs should be positioned 6-8 inches apart and 4-6 inches from the end of header depending on the length of header. Also, the length of the screw on the knob should not be longer that the thickness of the wood. You can use a bolt cutters to cut off any excess.

Step 1. Find exact center of board from side to side and top to bottom. This is the placement for your first knob. Measure 5-7 inches on either side of the center and that is the placement of knobs 2 and 3. Continue with this spacing for the length of the header and the number of knobs you want to use.
Step 2. Drill holes and screw knobs into each hole. Some knobs may need to be attached from the back.
Step 3. On backside of header, attach adequate strength picture hanging hardware. If rack is going to be used for coats, consider attaching to wall studs.
